   I’m going to be really honest with you, since watching this movie the entire family has contracted norovirus and both Bob and I have changed jobs. So I didn’t really have time to do a write up in a timely fashion, and I don’t remember a lot of the experience of watching it – except for that the kids enjoyed it and we pretended that our living room was a movie theatre.

   This movie is one of those rare moments where I think the sequel is as good as the original. Is it as heartfelt as the original? Not really, but I think it still has moments that touch your heart, I think the plot is interesting, I think the new characters add to the story and deepen the characters that already exist.

   It’s incredibly nostalgic for me. It takes me back to watching this film every few months, back when there was a limited amount of movies my family owned, and my dad really enjoyed watching the grumpy mammoth. I deeply enjoy sharing similar moments with our kids, and I can’t wait to try to convince them for to watch the rest of the franchise – in order. And to write it up in a much more reasonable time frame.
