A Note About Carpal Tunnel

The note is mainly that, I have it. Unfortunately.

And what that means is that my office job? It sucks. A lot. I have to wear a splint to type, or write with a pen, or flip paper. Or lift anything. It sucks. A lot.

What I have noticed, over the past month since my diagnosis, is that wearing the splint and typing is next to impossible. But here’s the problem, not wearing the splint and typing can do some damage. It hurts. A lot.

But I don’t want to type these articles up on an app, that sort of takes all the fun of it. I have a keyboard at home, a really nice keyboard. I got to pick the colour of the switches and everything. It makes the best noise when I type at it. It’s half the job of working on this blog.

And so, in light of all of this I simply wanted to reassure – we are still watching Disney movies. This marathon is continuing. But when my wrist is bad, it’s bad. So we might have large gaps in between reviews and then a lot of reviews coming out at once because I can’t guarantee that my wrist will feel good after we’ve watched a movie.

I wish I could, but I can’t.

So please bear with us. A surgery is happening in the future, or so I’ve been told to expect, and things should hopefully pick up once I’ve recovered from that.

Much love,

Doc
